21 March 2022 ‘RECON WARS’ - OUT NOW! Our FREE update for “Wings Over Flanders Fields Between Heaven & Hell II” users is now available! Please see the WOFF BH&H II downloads page to get the WOFF BH&H II update V1.21 - this will give you the free expansion ! We highly recommend reading the ‘History of Changes’ section for the latest important notes and instructions. For your convenience, these ‘Recon Wars’ Notes can also be downloaded here.

As we revealed recently, for the first time in any combat flight sim you are now able to carry out proper Reconnaissance and Artillery Spotting missions to gather Intel and preserve the data via Notes, Photography or Radio Telegraphy, all in a full dynamic campaign. Real in-simulator data is collated to evaluate how you fare with your tasks over the very dangerous front lines. So no taking photos over the local French drinking establishment instead and passing those off to the commander! Air drops too have been implemented and at times you have to drop your Intel off at HQ in a "Weighted Bag" at 100m or lower (!) which needless to say can be a harrowing experience for even seasoned pilots given the ever present flak and MG fire around the front lines. The flak and ground fire will vary out there be careful if you approach an area with several ground forces or facilities nearby.

3 February 2023 WOFF BH&H II Update to V1.36 This great update has five free improvements for WOFF BH&H II users. Items include some improved Tree Models for a more realistic look in scenery, and a very welcome new feature; now grass is seen at airfields!

6 June 2023 WOFF BH&H II ADD-ON Development News! Today we reveal some of the superb content coming in a new WOFF BH&H II Add-On we are currently working on. The images below show a couple of the exciting new aircraft for future release, the Sopwith Dolphin, and the Morane Saulnier “Bullet” Type N. Note the superb detailed cockpit and structural internals on the Dolphin, and externals of the Bullet including deflector plates on the prop to stop it shooting its own prop off! These are going to be very interesting additions! You can also see the improved engines, the Dolphin’s 200hp geared Hispano-Suiza and the LeRhone 9C rotary engine for the Bullet. Everything you see is of course not finished, including textures, as these are work-in-progress and may change before release. There’s also a very early picture of the start of the work on the fuselage of the Dolphin, and wiring shown on the Bullet to give you an idea of the complexity of work.

20 November 2023 WOFF BH&H II - Belgian EXPANSION Development Update November 2023 Currently we are focusing primarily on the Belgian Expansion. We have been updating most of the aircraft that will be used by the Belgians and their associated Squadrons and Aces. Improvements and tweaks to various aircraft models such as the Sopwith Camel, Nieuport 10, 11, 16, 17, 23, RAF BE2c, RE8, Caudron G.IV, SPAD VII, SPAD XIII, Sopwith Strutter A2, Breguet 14. The revamp includes 3D model updates, some of which are quite significant, such as the Camel External and Virtual Cockpit models. In the theatre all major nations are now properly represented on the ground, they own the correct historical airfields, soldiers are represented for each country, and improved representation of active battles along the front line. Moreover the actual army unit labels are now represented in the active battles. Nations represented in battles: Belgium France Britain Canada Australia USA Germany We are also updating the lighting in the theatre and giving you more choice as to the brightness of the terrain and scenery render, as well as improved shadow render distance. Other Scenery improvements include airfields and how they blend with the theatre for a much more realistic look.

26 June 2023 WOFF BH&H II EXPANSION Development News Update! Today we can reveal some of the new exciting details for the forthcoming Expansion for WOFF BH&H II, currently in development. All being well, we are planning to do two Expansions. The first of these Add-Ons we are currently working on, will bring the Belgians to the war, and include new squadrons, airfields, and more aircraft additional to those we have already mentioned to fill the WOFF world (see below). Here’s a brief list of what is expected ; • Belgian Air Service Expansion 1: Squads Aces Airfields Nations Belgian Squad/Ace Textures for various aircraft such as Nieuport 10, 11, 16, 17, 23, and the Sopwith Camel; Additional Aircraft: Farman F20/F40 Hanriot HD1 Sopwith Dolphin Pfalz DXII Morane N Bullet Likely Non flyable aircraft; Albatros Cx (a selection from that series). • Expansion 2 - Details TBA Note: Details and contents may change before release. 3 March 2024 WOFF BH&H II - Development Update March 2024 Hi All! This is just a small update to let you all know we are still alive and working hard on the next best thing for WOFF. Quite a bit of recent work has been behind the scenes stuff such as how the software works and building a better foundation we can use for future upcoming features, so not particularly exciting to show but will realise some cool features once released. Also the WOFF manager interface has been completely revamped and has had some major updates for this next release, for example there are some great new options added to Workshops settings area, which has also been re- arranged for more clarity, and the ability to enlist in the famous battles added, these are but a few of the enhancements. More aircraft have been under construction - the Hanriot HD1 virtual cockpit is coming along nicely. We hope to be able to publish some images of it soon when it is nearer completion. 8 April 2024 WOFF BH&H II Expansion DLC - Development Update April 2024 Welcome to the latest Development Update News! Today we are showing new images of recent development progress of our new DLC, the Expansion for WOFF BH&H II. Here are some of the new aircraft that are planned to be part of the next major release; the Farman F.40 and the Hanriot HD.1, together with a few other screenshots. Please be aware, as always, this is Work-in-Progress and may be changed before release. Please support us and buy the current version of BH&H as you will need it to install this Expansion so please don’t hold back :)

2 May 2024 WOFF BH&H II Update to V1.38 With this new V1.38 update, you can now expect to see greatly reduced aggressiveness, in combat situations, of several 2-seaters that have front guns - namely the D.H.4, Sopwith Strutter A2, Rumpler C.IV, D.F.W, Hannover C.III, Breguet 14 A2, R.E.8. Others that could act much more aggressively historically, will still do so, such as Bristol Fighter F2B, Roland C.II and F.E.2b. They will attack or defend. Note the F.E.2b is lumbering and slow, but its current behaviour lets it bring to bear the front observer gun, preferred to the ineffective rear gun which was dangerous to use by the observer, as he had to bravely stand up high in the wind on the nacelle! The Breguet 14 could be used as a fighter, and perhaps some of the others not so effectively, however we feel this is the best solution, to change behaviour to the main role as a more traditional 2-seater. 26 June 2024 WOFF BH&H II EXPANSION / DLC Development Update, June 2024 Hello Everyone, The good news is we are almost there on the new DLC/EXPANSION for WOFF BH&H II. We are in Alpha testing, and getting very close to the Beta test phase soon! Also we are just tweaking the last few small items to finish off. However, the bad news is, we need some financial help to keep us going until we can release this.

Hi all, Here’s some great news for WOFF users. Hot on the heels of our recent Battle of France release for our WW2 simulator, WOTR, we are pleased to announce that we are now working on a new WOFF BH&HII Expansion! Current release expected early 2024, and we will release more details as the Addon progresses. Note details may be subject to change.
